Yay, it’s election day  :)

The latest “poll of polls” from CNN has Obama up 7 points nation wide.  Come this evening when we get the results, I’m thinking it will be more like 51% to 49%, and that can go toward either candidate.

God must want the election to be much closer or he wants McCain to win in NC and VA, since he is making it rain.  The rest of the country isn’t that bad weather wise, except for in the upper pacific.  Why god, why?  :p

Here are some predictions:  NC, OH, FL all go McCain.  I hope VA goes Obama, because that will seal the deal for him, unless CO, NM, & NV go McCain.  272 to 266 is too close for my comfort, but a win is a win.

I heard talk a while ago about McCain pulling a Gore and winning the popular vote but losing the electoral vote.  I believe Gore was down 6 or 7 points before election day, but ended up winning the popular vote.  Yes, conventional wisdom says that most undecideds will go against the incumbent party, but let’s face it, this time the other guy is black.  Even though I have no idea who these undecided voters are (or if they will even vote), I think a lot of them will be looking for a reason to not vote Obama because they just are not comfortable with him and the risk associated with voting for someone who isn’t someone we think of as a traditional candidate (he would be perfect if he was whiter).

Anyway, enough about race, even though if Obama loses, that is what it’s going to be all about.  2008 has been a somewhat crappy year as far as people dying in my family.  Yes, it could have been a lot worse, but 4 deaths in a year is never good.  My grandmother passed away in February, my grandfather two months ago, my step-grandmother last week and my great aunt last week.  It’s ok because death happens, but I have grown very tired of going to funerals.  I just hope the rest of 2008  is fine.

I am almost done doing everything I want to do in my place at this time.  I have a couple more pictures and mirrors to hang up and I want to buy one more small piece of furniture to put somewhere, then I’ll pretty much have everything complete.  I wouldn’t mind getting some of those small reclining chairs to put in a corner in the guest room, but I haven’t completely made up my mind about that idea.

I’m debating about going to class tonight or not.  I think I will probably attend.  The professor has talked about moving class up so we can get out around 7:15/7:30.  Maybe we’ll have the Internet up and keep track of things come 7 when results start.

Take care everyone and remember to vote today  :)

I’m very excited about next week!!  :)   I’m just afraid of the sh*t storm that could come.    Will the US show it’s true colors?  How many voting machines/voter fraud/dead people voting/voter list purges will hit across the nation?  Obama and McCain better save up some of their money to pay the lawyers.

Hopefully things won’t get bad.  On my latest electorial map, I have Obama winning by a few points.  It all depends on VA, MO, NM, & NV, unless a big state like OH or FL or NC goes blue, which I doubt.  What’s scaring me is a few times I’ve picked, I’ve managed to get the 269 tie, which is still a possibility.  It depends on if you believe the polls or not.

Holy Crap, this Wake Forest vs FSU game is ugly…..!!!!!!   FSU just threw two interceptions in a row!!!  There is less than three minutes in the fourth quarter.  Wake Forest can’t seem to make a field go either.  The best kicker in the country has missed three FG this game.  It’s crazy.

Anyway, I’m proud NC State played so well today.  I’m not sure where it came from, but they did good against ECU.  ECU wasn’t playing all that well, but it was a pretty good game.

The App St. vs JMU game just ended.  App lost 32-35.  That was a crazy game as well.  App was leading 21-0 at halftime.  I thought the game would be close, but after seeing the first half, I was shocked.  The second half of the game was how I expected it to be.

I think App will still be fine this season.  I would bet good money they will play JMU in the playoffs again.  Hey, Wake Forset made a FG!  12-3, lol.  But yeah, as long as App beats them in the playoffs, I’ll be happy.  :)   They are looking pretty good this season.  I think they have another chance to do it again.  Last season I didn’t think they would do it, but they proved me wrong.  <3

I wonder what are the chances of this actually happening: WH has to keep files. They’ve already destroyed a lot of things.  When they were being investigated about DA firings, they did not have emails and other files.

Sarah Palin is starting to get annoying.  The way she speaks and how she does not know, or appear, to know much.  I have never had much faith in the American people, but hopefully they will pay attention to things.  If McCain wins, he can think white middle-aged women.  But it is still weeks away, so who knows.

This site is pretty funny, much like icanhascheezeburger:

Is the Palin wave of facination going to continue?  Will the American people grow tired the same talk?  Will Obama supporters take up arms and rally around their leader?  Will the “youth” actually get out the vote?  What will happen during the next two months?

I kind of wish I knew, but it’s still a long way off.   Will McCain win the popular vote and Obama win the electorial college?  (I can’t imagine that happening, but some have thrown that idea around)  It appears Palin is helping McCain gain even more white women.  A lot of white men are going to find it hard to vote for a black man.  Just think what will happen when something happens to President McCain and 2012 has President Palin vs Senator Clinton.  Speculation is fun.

It all depends on if American votes for the person or the policies.  The world has long believed Obama has had this election wraped up, but little do they know… little do we all know.

Lord, they really are pulling out the terror card….

It worked the last two years, so why not?

I think I’m in love….  too bad she is a Republican.  If people vote on emotions in November (like what I figured they would do with Obama), the Dems have a good challenger on the other side in Palin.  Tonight the Republicans needed to show America who Palin is, and they sure did a good job of it.  People will like her as a person, but concerning her policies, that’s the difference maker.

Thanks to B-rad, who I think got it from drudge (the only news source he looks at), I am sharing this fun article about Obama:  Obama to get Hanuman idol

Best quote: “Obama has deep faith in Lord Hanuman and that is why we are presenting an idol of Hanuman to him”

Other news:

“Saudi Arabia has over the past six months arrested 701 people suspected of plotting attacks, officials have said.” I’m still surprised Saudi Arabia is as “stable” as it is.  No overthrow and revolt yet.

Religion is always an interesting topic:

I won’t expand any at this time.  It’s dinner time.  :)

So, this fall….  a Republican president and a congress dominated by Democrats?  Looks like it now, but things will change.

There are a few things I have been wanting to talk about, but have not taken the time.  Too much going on and I need more sleep.
