The Blue Hens of Delaware just won that close game, 20-17.  I can’t speak much about the two teams since today was the first time I’ve seen them play, but I think it would be safe to say that neither of them played their best football.

Delaware almost didn’t get in the play-offs, they are ranked 13 out of the 16 that made it to the post season, but they beat the No. 1 team and now, the number 4 team.  Hopefully, they won’t beat the No. 5 team next week.  :P

If App plays like last night and scores 55 points, then yes, they will win 3 National Championships in a row.  How sweet it would be.  I don’t want to make a prediction, so I won’t, but I do have confidence that if Edwards and Richardson stays healthy, App will win.  Even if Trey comes in the game, I still think we can defeat Delaware.

We will see Friday night at 8pm on ESPN2.

I apologize for not talking about more things than football. :P After next Friday night, I won’t be talking about football as much. Thankfully, I still get to this week!
Appalachian just finished playing in the semi-finals, and yay! they won :) 55-35 against Richmond College. You can check out the box score here and they will eventually write a game recap.

It wasn’t as a close game as some in the recent past but I did have moments when I was uneasy. It’s pretty exciting for App to be going to their third straight championship football game. Only four other teams in the FCS have accomplished that, but none of those won their third game. Hopefully, Appalachian can be the first. It would be awesome to win three in a row and have a t-shirt with that information on it. :) The game will again be on ESPN2 at 8pm next Friday night.

In other news, things have been going well. I spent most of this week at a conference for work. We put on the first North Carolina Summit on Youth and Families. It’s pretty neat and I definitely learned a lot about this wonderful state.

I went Christmas shopping this afternoon and got myself a gift. :) They are similar to these Ray-Ban’s

I have yet to ware them out in the sun though, so I’m not sure how well I will like them in that regard. Two additional shoppers in the store helped me pick them out, lol.  One was a little older and had an adorable little baby girl in her stroller and the other was in high school, maybe.  But man, I know her from somewhere.  I have seen her before but I just can’t remember where.  It bugs me.  But anyway, after twenty minutes in the store, I decided on some shades.  It’s a good thing to, because my Oakley’s definitely showed some age.  It was getting semi-distracting to look through them because of the scratches.

Ok, I need some rest.  The in-laws and additional people are coming to the house Sunday and I need to clean up.  Yay for the holidays  :)
